Frequently Asked Questions
What is Cosee Studio?
Cosee is a selection management tool built for designers. It captures your selections, photos, and product details as you work — then lets you turn completed projects into sellable curated kits for your social media followers.
How do I start monetizing my design expertise?
Start by capturing what you already do — photograph selections, save product links, add notes about why you chose each item. Create punch lists with detailed instructions. With Cosee Studio, this project work becomes a curated kit your followers can purchase. You don't need to create anything extra. Your existing design projects are the product. Set a price, share a link to your audience, and earn income from expertise you've already invested.
What is a curated kit and how is it different from a product list?
A curated kit is your completed design project packaged as a purchasable guide. Unlike a simple product list or affiliate link roundup, a curated kit includes your expertise — room-by-room breakdowns, the reasoning behind each selection, installation tips, progress photos, and the order to make decisions in. It's the difference between handing someone a list of paint colors and teaching them how you think about color in a space.
How do I answer my followers' questions about my designs without giving away free advice?
Instead of answering the same DM questions over and over — 'Where did you get that tile?' 'What paint color is that?' — you can link your followers to a curated kit that answers all of it at once. Your curated kit includes every selection, your notes on why you chose it, and how it all works together. One link replaces hundreds of repetitive conversations, and you earn income from your expertise rather than giving it away.
What is my design expertise actually worth?
More than most designers realize. Your followers already value your taste — they save your posts, share your stories, and DM you questions. A curated kit lets them access your full design thinking for a fraction of what a consultation costs. Even a small, engaged audience can generate meaningful income from work you've already completed.
Do I need to change my workflow?
No. Cosee captures what you're already doing. Upload your spreadsheet of selections. Take a photo on-site with your phone — it's in your project. Save a product link — it's organized. Capture happens in the moment, organization happens when you're ready.
How much can I earn from curated kits?
That depends on your audience, content and pricing. A designer with 10,000 Instagram followers might sell curated kits of their favorite paint colors at $19 each. They might sell a full kitchen remodel for $99. Even if only 1-2% of followers purchase, that's a few thousand dollars from each kit. And unlike client work, each sale requires zero additional time.
Is the free plan actually usable?
Yes. The free plan includes 3 active projects, client sharing, GC spec sheet exports, and 2 sellable kit links. It's designed so you can manage real projects and test selling before committing to Pro.
When does upgrading to Pro make sense?
Pro drops your transaction fee from 30% to 15%. If you're selling $660+/month in curated kits, the fee savings alone cover the $99/month subscription. You also get white-labeled output (your brand, not ours), unlimited projects, and unlimited kit links.
Will my clients see Cosee's branding?
On the Free plan, output includes a small Cosee watermark. On Pro, everything is fully white-labeled — presentations, spec sheets, and kit pages all carry your brand only.
Does it work offline?
Yes. The mobile app works in low-connectivity environments (construction sites, showrooms). Photos and data sync when you're back online.
I'm a homeowner. Can I use Cosee?
Absolutely. If your designer uses Cosee, you'll have a visual, always-updated view of your project — selections, progress, and decisions all in one place. You can also purchase curated kits from designers to guide your own renovation decisions.
I don't have time for another tool.
Fair. It is a new tool, and it does add a step to your workflow. The capture part matches what you already do — take a photo, save a link, jot a note. The payoff is that when your project wraps, you have something ready to sell instead of a scattered camera roll. Whether that tradeoff is worth it depends on you.
What exactly is a curated kit?
It's your completed project turned into something your followers can purchase. But it's not just a list of links — it's your expertise packaged. Every product you selected, the notes you added about why, installation instructions, the order to make decisions in, and progress photos showing how it all came together. Think of it as the answer key to your design.
What do my clients see?
Your expertise, organized beautifully. Not a spreadsheet of links — a visual project with your selections, your notes on each product, your reasoning for why things work together, and progress photos documenting the journey. It's branded to you with your logo, always up to date, and it makes you look as organized as you actually are.
What about client privacy?
Built-in visualization tools let you compose room views and edit photos so you can showcase your selections without showing a client's actual home. When you're ready to sell a curated kit, you control exactly what's visible.

Your followers already want this. They just can’t buy it yet.
They save your posts.
Every time someone screenshots your story or saves a post, they’re telling you they want your product knowledge. Right now there’s no way for them to get it.
They ask in your DMs.
“Where did you get that tile?” “What paint color is that?” You answer these questions for free, over and over. A curated kit turns those answers into a link you share once.
They want your expertise, not just your links.
Most of your followers won’t have the chance to work with you directly. But they’d pay for your selections, your reasoning, your installation tips — the full picture of how you think about a space. That’s what a curated kit gives them.
Even unfinished projects have value.
That kitchen project that stalled? The bathroom reno that never got built? The selections and thinking you put in are still worth something. Dead projects can become curated kits too.
Share work you couldn’t share before.
Plenty of your best work never made it to your feed because you didn’t have permission to publish it. AI visualization tools can anonymize any sensitive private details or generate new images from a set of selections — so the design, the concepts, and your thinking can finally be shared.
You don’t need a huge following.
The followers who save your posts, share your stories, and DM you questions — those are your buyers. They already trust your taste. A small, engaged audience is more valuable than a large, passive one.
You don’t need to be famous. You need to be trusted.
What Makes This Different
Most tools ask you to build the product after the project. Here, the product builds as you work.
The assembly is the part nobody has time for. Because your selections, notes, and progress photos are already captured in your project, the curated kit is ready when the project is done. Set a price, share a link.
